This weekend I decided to go and browse my local The Reject Shop. The shop was packed full of Easter goodies and I have to say that other than chocolate my favourite thing about Easter has to be all the pastel colours and cute bunnies everywhere. Well I haven’t yet done any Easter shopping this year so my trip to the The Reject Shop inspired me to at least make over my desk so it started to make me feel like the Easter bunny was on his way.
So this is what I bought:
I got raiding my crafty things and found some items I could use to help turn these items into something Easter themed for my desk.
I used patterned papers I picked up from The Reject Shop a while back, some ink, stamps, dies and washi tape. You don’t need all these items, you can just use scissors instead of dies and stickers instead of stamps.
Step 1
Choose 4 pieces of paper you like then trace the shape of the pencil box and cut out the pieces ( I did use a die to create the scalloped edge but you could just use scissors).
Step 2
Then stick them all to the box using doubled sided tape also from your local store. Then stick washi tape to the edges to tidy.
Step 3
This step is simply to decorate. You can do this however you wish. I made a shaker and filled the inside with the cute Easter scatters. I also stamped some images with Penny Black stamps and water coloured them with paints. But you don’t have to do the same, you could use stickers or paper flowers or anything really, just get creative! I also stamped an extra image and water coloured it to use in the photo frame. Add a couple of bows to pretty it up and there. I think they look so cute on my desk :D.
But what happened to the yummy chocolate eggs?
